Catherine Yass’ Suspended Disbelief for White Noise.

09 August, 2016

Nick returned to East Tower, former BBC Television centre, where he has been documenting the building’s last days of existence for White Noise.

On this occasion, Nick captured artist in residence Catherine Yass’ Suspended Disbelief. This translated into a grand piano hanging from a crane, up in the air for a full day. A recording of the strings as they were played by wind and movement was also produced as the permanent piece.

The iconic East Tower will be demolished and redeveloped this August, but not before a group of artist have taken over as part of White Noise’s live research project.
